OptiMate Solar TM523-8: OFF-GRID series 80W Solar 12V lead-acid Battery Charger & Maintainer

The OptiMate Solar 80W (Model: TM523-8) combines a weatherproof poly-crystalline 80W solar panel with the TM523 charge controller to create a hi-efficiency smart pulse charger & maintainer for more effective care of your 12V lead-acid car, bakkie, truck, farm equipment or deep cycle batteries.

How it works : The poly-crystalline solar cells work effectively with direct and angled sun, or with sunlight filtering through cloud, allowing charging in any weather. The OptiMate Solar charge controller converts low current from the panel into effective charge pulses that work better at charging any type of battery.

With the OptiMate Solar smart controller between the 80W panel and battery, the panel's output efficiency is raised to 50-100% (depending on strength of sun) generating a faster charge, with the controller regulating battery charge voltage to exactly what a 12V battery needs.

With OptiMate Solar charge controller you can now leave your solar charge panel permanently connected to your battery - not only does it charges the battery better and faster, there is no possibility of overcharging!

And that's not all, at night the controller turns into a battery monitor, indicating the status of your battery. Come morning, even in cloudy weather, it turns back into a charger and continues caring for your battery.
